Yes! Thanks to the cumin and probably the salt in the beans, mostly. The recipe is in the post “Easy as Beans.” The whole thing is wonderful after an exhausting day.

Thank you! It may be due to the way the beans are prepared by the company that sells them (plenty of salt as a preservative), but whatever it is, the recipe is so simple, easy, filling, and delicious.
